Last Thursday, on August 29th, we had a meeting at the garden where we shared an overview of Food Not Bombs and the free store and talked about their current status. Alyx and I somewhat loosely facilitated the conversation, and at least I thought it stirred up some energy for a few possible projects.
Here are some the ideas around work that we could do that I remember from the meeting:
- Starting up a fundraiser, which would include raising money that the church has requested from us.
- Spreading the word about Food Not Bombs and the free store in our neighborhoods.
- Organizing another event where we cook for the church so that we can all meet each other.
- Organizing another opportunity for orienting new people to the kitchen and doing a serve-safe training.
- Figuring out our banking situation.
